Imaginary Friends

Does anyone else’s children have imaginary friends? My daughter is 3 years-old and has 6 imaginary friends!! They all have different names, personalities, features–like hair color, eye color, height, etc. Her first imaginary friend was Jenny, then she “became friends” with Anna & Edna, followed by Iggy & Izzy, her newest friend is Sara. Certain ones of her “friends” will go with us in the car, in the store, etc. She sometimes wants me to buckle them in while in the car. PLEASE tell me there are other people whose kids do this!! lol…

  1. Holly, my grandson Karter had an imaginary friend named “Raggy” when he was that age. Raggy of course had a family…so we heard about all of them also. What they looked like, what clothes they wore, even where the parents worked. Karter knew Raggy’s fav foods, etc. And he consulted Raggy for EVERYTHING!! We thought it was brilliant and creative that he made up such great details!

On the fun side….I have often heard that a child’s imaginary friends are guardian angels that only they can see. Rejoice! Your daughter is well looked after by all those angels!!!
